Before the pandemic, I had only visited a handful of them, largely by accident. But as soon as the pandemic hit, and it was risk-free plenty of to street-vacation, I drove all around the nation visiting them.
Now I’ve observed 15 out of 63. And someday, I’d like to see them all.
To start with, there was Redwood Nationwide Park, with its towering trees and black-sand beaches…
Then Indiana Dunes, with its sprawling sights of nuclear reactors…
Then Utah, property to some of the most effective national parks in the state: I frequented Capitol Reef, Bryce Canyon, and Zion.
Following Utah, I visited Mammoth Cave (Kentucky) and Warm Springs (Arkansas), on the way to Austin, which is in which I are living now.
Then there was Big Bend, Texas. The night sky is remarkable there! You can see so quite a few stars.
Followed by Petrified Forest in New Mexico…
And most lately, Glacier (Montana) and Grand Teton (Wyoming). Glacier Nationwide Park reminded me of Switzerland with its alpine valleys, purple wildflowers, and jagged mountains. I even noticed mountain goats.
I feel so blessed that I’ve gotten to see so considerably of our lovely state in the past number of many years.
When I was more youthful, I centered entirely on intercontinental travel (this blog is not called Ashley Overseas for nothin’). But about the past two a long time, I’m happy to report that I’ve gained a newfound appreciation for my personal yard.
